Measuring Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Success: A Structural Equation Modeling Approach
نویسنده
چکیده
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are diffusing globally, and it is important to measure the success of such software in adopting firms. Evidence suggests that firms investing huge sums of money in information systems (IS) sometimes do not assess the success of such systems for a variety of reasons, including the lack of knowledge about what to assess. Also, the IS success evaluations research area is varied, often providing little succour to practitioners. ERP systems success assessment is just beginning to surface, and this paper discusses an effort towards extending an available success measurement model. Essentially, two relevant success dimensions not included in the model proposed by Gable and colleagues [9] and [30] were incorporated and tested using criterion analysis and structural equation modeling technique. The implications of the study’s findings for practice and research are discussed.

Extending the Gable Et Al. Enterprise Systems Success Measurement Model: a Preliminary Study
Measuring the success of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for adopting organizations is an emerging area of research. Our study complements the growing body of knowledge in this area as we attempt to extend the dimensions of success in the measurement model proposed by Gable and colleagues [20, 57, 60]. Overall, this study employed a three-phase approach to enhance its validity; howev...

Project management is an important factor to accomplish the decision to implement large-scale software systems (LSS) in a successful manner. The effective project management comes into play to plan, coordinate and control such a complex project. Project management factor has been argued as one of the important Critical Success Factor (CSF), which need to be measured and monitored carefully duri...
متن کاملInvestigating the Relationships among Erp Systems Success Dimensions: a Structural Equation Model
The objective of this paper is to empirically test the relationships among the dimensions in an extended Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems success measurement framework. To test the relationships, a conceptualized model highlighting the paths among the constructs or dimensions is formulated. A 41-item questionnaire was developed from the relevant literature and distributed to 470 firms...
متن کاملCritical Success Factors of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Implementation Success in China
ERP implementation issues have been given much attention since two decades ago due to its low implementation success. Nearly 90 percent of ERP implementations are late or over budget [16] and the success rate with ERP implementation is about 33%. In China, the success rate of implementing ERP systems is extremely low at 10% [28] which is much lower than that in West countries. This study attemp...
